SING THIS SONG Verse One: Don't have much to say- to you. So I'll say my goodbyes now. "Don't let it get much more than this" I've heard- believing in the crowd. Verse Two: What passes for the sun above us, what passes for the day? Not wise to pass the time this way, or no- not wise for us to say. Bridge: How can we begin to know? What will not end? How can we begin to lose? What will we win? Chorus: That it doesn't seem much deeper than, a river that will not begin. And a fire that speaks of our times, that will not end like this our lives. Lyrics/Music by Robert Shawn 2004

Wondering 05:16
WONDERING Verse One: Who could know now, what to tell you? Why this night, ended us so wrong. Think my mind’s so deep inside you, Though you’d left here, before the dawn. Verse Two: What is left for me to say? Play games that have no end. This our time we cannot place, out of reach, we cannot win. Bridge: There’s a light, in between us. I will always want you. There’s a light, in between us. I will always want you. Instrumental Verse Three: Train of souls arrive at sundown, gave our bodies to the West, took our minds as far as East goes, left our ashes, to do the rest. Verse Four: Thought by now, I’d always find you, in our hearts, where we can trust, but betrayal still commands you, what we had to do, we must. Bridge: There’s a light, in between us. I will always want you. There’s a light, in between us. I will always want you. Chorus: The light is always on, and I’m wondering. (4x’s) Instrumental Lyrics/Music by Robert Shawn © 2004

GOD ONLY KNOWS Verse One: Every day's a stranger, and every night's a friend. Bored with no direction and smiles can't pretend Trials never ending- for us who needs to wait. 'Til the movie's over, how will you know your fate? All the world's an empty stage, and all the truths are lies. You can never hope to win, against the great devise. Social mores for hypocrites, wear a thin disguise. The little worlds we crawl into, now no longer hide. Chorus: God only knows, God only knows, God only knows- what you're saying. God only knows, God only knows, God only knows- what you're praying. Bridge/Instrumental: LIke a light that is turning, against the grain we go. In the heavens and hell holes, different things will grow. Verse Two: She was always stranger, and in my hands were dice, desire only shadows, who tells you to survive. Here there's too much playing- with life away to chance. Cover all your secrets, before you learn to dance. Bridge: Feel the sun, and the moon fall, and want all to return. Just to hold your soul in mine, and love until we burn. Time like life, will die to rise and only live again. But this strength and not your face is fading. Chorus: God only knows, God only knows, God only knows- what you're saying. God only knows, God only knows, God only knows- what you're praying. All that follow, all that lead, and all that will pretend- principles of what they feel, they still cannot defend. Lyrics/Music by Robert Shawn

BACKWARDS AND FORWARDS Verse One: All the scattered thoughts fell out of the windows today, landing in feelings of hope and further decay of. Verse Two: Well, don't let this scare you, but I'm so much in love, with the reflection of your face, in my heart and what of it? When I go to sleep at night, and wish you were needing me. Chorus: And how can you see, conclusive is this- or merely an answer. Or all of your wants, and none of your needs- are flirting disaster. Verse Three: In the great rhetoric of our semantic reverse- where lies the conclusion, is our love perverse, or simply that honest, and therefore of virtue. Verse Four: Well it was a situation, that we can't explain. Atttempts at resolution became a refrain. What we really wanted to say, and I can't begin to. Chorus: The great mystery- or somewhat defined, by some unknown master. The cloak of your heart, has somewhat revealed, true love is not blind. Verse Five: So it's true we are not free, an overflowing mentality- as we push ourselves backwards and forwards. The doors are revolving, that no one walks out of. Chorus: How can I turn, my back and just go, when everyday is it's own source? My love for you- won't leave me alone, and you already know this. Instrumental Verse Five: Oh please, tell me please, how your's is the only one. And what church in fact- does God go to? Lyrics/Music by Robert Shawn 1998

Blood Rain 05:12
BLOOD RAIN Verse One: A difference in the mood it seems, to find yourself between the lines, between your dreams, which way up or which way down. Well, I don't know. Verse Two: No need for any heroes, not 'til the final reprimand. Come knockin' 'round here in the morning, death is knocking, and my life is way off track. Chorus: When the blood rain, pours down its nuclear crown, nothing else is gonna be found. Verse Three: Well, we sat by our motel window, looking at all the treasures we could see. My girlfriend was cooking up some jack in her spoon, and the ground, well it moved and it shook. I looked at her, that's not funny, and her needle fell from her arm with the oddest look. Verse Four: 'Cause an unknown stranger, turned on a suitcase, brought us all a lot of harm. Now her shadow's now permanently a part of the wall. Oh well- I didn't love her that much, if at all. Bridge: Got no room for any conscience in here. Oh no, and just what to believe? We're all passing it all around here, and your curious gaze is too near. And all we could come up with- was fear. Chorus: When the blood rain pours down it's nuclear crown, nothin' else is gonna be found. Verse Five: Evening will fall like a stone and the stars themselves will begin to drone. The threat is far from over, like you've never seen before. One individual alone could run the war. I really don't like to be the bearer of bad news but I'll say it again and again. Bridge: We're passing it all around here, and you're curious gaze is too near. Swam around in the pool of thought, and we came up empty-handed. Oh well, oh my- in three places we're permanently branded. Chorus: When the blood rain, pours down it's nuclear crown. May the saints all preserve us, when we turn our heads away from what's coming down. Lyrics/Music by Robert Shawn 1998

GOES WITHOUT SAYING Verse One: The lights seeping in through the dark that the angels have bled. Wearing ashes to mask, the Princess of Hearts starts to drain. All of her suitors of pride and profit too vain. Chorus: How can you face what you're needing? When all that follows will never shine clear. How can you answer such questions? When we won't give a chance to our circle? To what's simple? Verse Three: Standing, fell flying- the circus of our circumstance. Following the stream of lies, the knife in your hand fails to glance. Instrumental Verse Four: The symbolic headlights are telling you which way to turn. Street wise to a focus, that promised you'd never get burned. How can you need what you're facing? When all that leads you will never shine clear. Chorus: How can we answer such questions? When we won't give a chance to our circle? To what's simple? Verse Five: Mary had of rain drops silk, like beads of sweat that fall from my hands. King Charles was laid out fast, before they had time to direct. To finalize what plainly seems, too close and too distant to dissect. Chorus: Whatever happens on this ride, please keep the sun out of step with this night. I only need to now see you, as you were long ago, like we'd promised. All that's gone to the norm- of routine, sight unseen. Gone to the norm of routine- sight unseen. Lyrics/Music by Robert Shawn 1997

SHOW'S NOT OVER Verse One: When the clouds dissipate. And the rains falling in sheets, evaporate. On dry ground, in shining sun. We will learn some new language that we have won. Verse Two: If your eyes, shall open up. Your heart's enflamed with empty words, your eyes are closed. Chorus: If you ask why- oh no. Now that I bought the ticket, where's the show? Instrumental Verse Three: Share the view, out in the dark. What you'll see will shake your soul and break your heart. If one takes, a different route, down Naiive Road, past Innocence, to Twist and Shout. Verse Four: If your mind, does expose, your hands in blood, racing in thoughts that overload. Chorus: If you ask why- oh no. Now that I bought the ticket, where's the show? Lyrics/Music by Robert Shawn 1990
